I'm looking into buying a 2003-2007 Honda Accord and I saw that there was a transmission recall in the 2003, 2004 models similar to the Acura TL transmission recall. Is the 2005 Honda Accord transmission effected by this recall?

Some are, and some are not. You would have to check the VIN # with the recall notice, to be sure.

How is your 03 Accord's transmission?

My 03 V6 automatic is doing just fine, at 73k miles. I have been changing 3 quarts of fluid often (every 15k miles).

Search for TSB #04-037, which provides the details on this problem.

The safety recall for the V6 transmission applied only to 2003 models and some 2004s. No 2005s were included in the recall.
