Car wont start tried almost everything
My buddy has a 2005 Accord. he had an error code for the Cam Shaft sensor on the intake side. he had the code for a while, then when he was driving the car started to shake and then it wouldn't start back up on him.
We changed the Cam sensor, its cranks but wont turn over.
changed the starter. wasn't the problem
changed the battery still just cranks.
and checked the sparks and its getting gas.
and its not the immobilizer.
we took the top part of the valve cover off. the timing chain was tight. is there another way to see if that':thud the cause?
what else could be the issue. what could cause a car to shake then die and only crank?

Did you re-set the ECM/PCM? Does it still throw the camshaft code after re-setting the ECM/PCM? If it still throws the code then you need to find a manual and do the diagnostic tree for the camshaft code. It also could possibly be the camshaft jumped time.

Re: Car wont start tried almost everything
I am having the same issue with my 2003 honda accord dx 2.4l... i have changed the crankshaft position sensor and both cam sensors on the intake side. i have changed the spark plugs and battery as well. the spark is there and the fuel. sometimes it starts up fine and sometimes it will crank but not start. when it does start up, it runs like a champ. no codes or anything are showing up right now. the TPS is fine as well. PLEASE HELP!!!
