Default caliper bolts wont loosen

hey guys have a 2003 honda accord v6 and just purchased new rotors and pads.i jacked the car up and took off the rim/tire.i tried to loosen the caliper bolts and they wont budge so i got a bigger ratchet.still didnt work so i gor a pole and stuck it on the ratchet and it turns buts very tight and not getting any looser.there is also a big nut thats moving with the caliper bolt its on the other side of the bolt hole.i tried on both bottom and top does the same.is there a trick or something thanks

The "butterfly" that moves when you turn the bolt needs to be held by a wrench that fits it, or by an adjustable wrench. hold that and turn your bolt with the ratchet, should loosen right up with some muscle. After all that should be okay..

Hopefully the threads are not stripped, and hopefully the rubber pin boots are not damaged. Are you sure you were turning the bolts in the right direction (counter clockwise)? I would take the pins out and check them for damage too. You will need some calliper grease for the pins (high temp grease). Change anything that is bent or otherwise damaged. Good luck.

i did manage to get them off i put some nice slotted and drilled rotors and they look awesome.especially with the 18 inch 2010 cicic si wheels.now i need to do the back but hey i had another question on one side of the brakes u know that lil boot and i think its the butterfly bolt or something well one was like locked in there rusted and i basicly sprayed some stuff on it and used an impact driver and beat that sucker our of there after that i sanded all the rust with a sand block greased it and its not working right.is that all i needed to do or should i replace the whole caliper bracket.thanks for all ur info im sure ill be on here daily tring to get tips and advice for my small projects.thanks alot

12mm wrench or ratchet with a 17mm holding the sleeve/slider

the little butterfly things is moving right? Just make sure to hold on to it while tightening it.
