Buying Used 03-05 Accord Coupe-What To Look For?
I'm trying to get out of my Audi with it's never ending costly maintenance, and I've fallen in love with the Accord coupes. I've done some searching on this forum and so far the only real 'threat' I need to look out for is the tranny, since I'm going for an auto.
Are there any warning signs I should be looking for when test driving, such as shifting from 3rd to 4th is rough, etc? Aside from the tranny, are there any other obvious bad traits I'd be able to identify with a test drive?
On a side note, I can't find a white leather auto V6 coupe anywhere. I don't think I can post in the For Sale forum yet, anyone know of any leads?

Anytime you are going to buy a used car. If you are seriously interested in it take it to an independent shop for a Check Car Over Service. You will pay a small fee(50-100) but that is nothing compared to the value of the car.Think about it as if the price were 50-100 more would you balk at it. Anyway the dealer is a good place for this because all day every day the techs see these cars. If a clip is out of place they notice because they have literally been around 03-05 Accords thousands of times. If not just someone you trust who has recent experience with serviceing Hondas/Acuras. Good Luck

Not much to look out for. They are great cars. I have 110k on my 6spd K24 Accord no issues. Black on Black leather. Why not just get a v6 6 speed? Great cars and 99% of the time they were driven by a nice old lady or a middle aged person. Mine was a 1 owner lease vehicle. It was in MINT shape. Ive had it since Jan 07 and Its been my favorite car out of the 20 Ive had. lol

I just bought my 04 V6 6speed with 98K miles and I love it, it really surprised me at the drag strip bone stock with all season crap tires. The paint is terrible and seems to have chipped easily, but there are no rattles from the dash board, which I have read are common. Zero mechanical issues. Get the 6 speed, this car is fantastic, now if I could get it to handle...

My coupe had the tranny replaced by Honda at around 75k miles. The only problem it had was slipping from 2nd to 3rd.
The only other thing to look for will be the lighting around the radio.Honda will fix it up to like 75-100k.
Overall great cars.
