block heater for 04 accord ?
I'd like to get one but have no experiance with them. Ideally I'd just like it to help with cold starts & warm up the accord faster in the morning.
I'm assuming this is a DIY install.
I found these links.
Freeze plug style
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...r-4th-gen.html
Oil Pan style:
http://www.amazon.com/Kats-1153-Hand...7650889&sr=8-1
I'm iffy on the magnetic oil plan style because it could fall off if from it something hit it (snow, branch, ect)
I like the idea of the freeze plug style but where is the freeze plug on K24 blocks?

Honda sells block heaters. The part and installation instructions are here:

Re: block heater for 04 accord ?
1) so that heats up the coolant which helps keep the oil warm?
Wouldn't it be better to have a heater probe that directly keeps the oil warm?
2) I also worry about getting shocked. I mean the heater cord is wet (from snow/slush) and the extension cord from the garage outlet is wet wouldn't that shock you because current can travel through water even if the cords are plastic?
