I have a 2004 accord k24a4
It has +180K on it, still running like a champ but recently noticed it's dripping a lot of oil.


It's not the oil pan gasket, but seems to be spewing on the oil pump side and getting all over my engine belt.

Q:
1) is this oil leak pretty common for K series?
I know for most d-b-h series, the REAR main seal tends to go out well before the front main seal.

2) is there any other seal (other than front main seal/oil pump seal) which could be leaning around that area?

I would clean the area with carb or brake cleaner, then try to spot the source of the leak before it spreads.

^^^ lol... i guess you don't know the answer then. go troll on the GDD section = )

the past 8+ hondas i've had where high milage and none have ever leaded oil on the oil pump side.... so i figured it must be a K series thang..

In short yes semi common, it is typically the front crank seal that goes which then spins up the oil everywhere and makes a mess. Its very easy to do and if you are replacing that
I typically reseal the side timing tensioner cover at the same time since its only three bolts
and your all ready in that area
