Hi All, I hope someone in here has heard of the issues I'm having with my car. I absolutely LOVE this car - it is such a good fit for me that it feels like it was made for me. It's been at the dealer since last Friday. Mechanically, I keep experiencing intermittent loss of power when the gas pedal is depressed, either to go from a stopped position or to increase my speed. Honda can't find anything, no error codes, and they can't duplicate the problem, which you can't "make" happen. It happens a whole bunch of times one day, then you might go a week with no occurrences, then bam, it starts happening again. There are no environmental factors (like temperature or precipitation) that seem to have any influence on the problem. Structurally, the hood is misaligned - it is flush with the fenders all the way from the windshield to about 5 inches from the front, where it is just slightly above the level of the fenders, making it look like it's not closed all the way. The body shop has tried the most obvious solution of twisting the rubber bumpers underneath all the way down, and that made no difference. They tried lowering the radiator rack and nothing. Now they are looking at lowering the fenders. This is nuts! I'm starting to worry that the car may have come off the truck in a rough manner and somehow knocked something out of whack that is deep within the car's structure. I bought it from my local dealer, but they got it from one of their "trading partners" in Staten Island, so the only miles on it were accumulated driving it from Staten Island to NJ. Anyone ever hear of either one of these problems?

Maybe you should have them contact the Honda Regional Factory Rep for you and speak to them. They are exposed to so much more than the local technician and they usually have a lot more clout.
