2011 Crosstour Heater Blowing Air Intermittently
I have a 2011 Crosstour that has been having some issues with the heat, A/C, ambient air just not blowing from the heater vents.
This only happens on start up and no matter what speed I have the ambient air set it will not blow air.
After about 10 minutes of driving the air will then pop back on like nothing ever happened.
Took the car into the dealer and they said they couldn't get the air to fail and therefore couldn't trace the problem.
Noticed last night when I started my car to go home that the air again wouldn't come out of the vent and when I hit a large bump.. it all popped back on like it was never off.
I keep hearing that it could be the blower motor or the resistor but I am wondering how I would access these parts?? Does the entire glove box need to come off or is there a panel under the glove box that can be removed? I have searched YouTube praying there was a video but cannot seem to find anything showing how in the heck I can get to the parts.
I am at my wits end and this thing is driving me nuts since sometimes it works just fine and other times no air whatsoever.

Re: 2011 Crosstour Heater Blowing Air Intermittently
Hi, sorry to hear about your problem. I have a 2010 Crosstour and have not had any of those problems yet, but i am getting a driver side (DRIVESHAFT - HALF SHAFT) put in, in two weeks. Sorry for rambling now on to your problem. From what i know the (Crosstour) does not have any actuators in them (for what i see in the factory service manual) so it might be the motor or (TRANSISTOR, POWER). Here is a pic of the outline of your set up.
Now here is the link to the site and the price of the stuff, it is cheaper here than the dealer.
Honda Automotive Parts
List Price Our Price
79330-TP6-A01 016 001 TRANSISTOR, POWER 37.25 25.70
79140-TP6-A21 013 001 MOTOR ASSY., MODE 37.37 25.79
79160-TP6-A21 014 001 MOTOR ASSY., AIR MIX 33.68 23.24
79170-TP6-A21 015 001 MOTOR ASSY., AIR MIX 26.82 18.51
You can try all four to see what happens you might also want to get the chilton manual for the car just to look in the back for trouble shooting problems that you can find right away. It is cheaper than taking to the dealer and paying the $100 problem finder price. Good luck to you. :-)

Re: 2011 Crosstour Heater Blowing Air Intermittently
I'm with the blower motor at the top of the list and the "resistor/transister" second.
Have a volt meter to do some testing?
The "mode" and "air mix" motors are not releated to your issue. A mode motor directs the air thru the different vents.....defrost, face, floor, ect. The mix motor is for mixing/blending the temp of the air between the heater and evap to get to a certain temp.
