2009 Fuse Box, Open Slots, I need 15 amps
Looking to install a radio transceiver that draws 15 amps max. I intend to operate the rig at 1/2 power so typically it will draw about 8 amps.
I looked at the passenger side fuse box and behold there are three rather large tabbed slots that have power on them and are not used (my car is the EX-L 4 cyl). Does anyone know the capacity of these tabs? As I said they are relatively large so I'm guessing the may be sized for 20 amps or more but I'm puzzled as to why they are even there. There are no accessories that go here. The slots I'm talking about are 20, 21 and 22 (see attachment). There are no fuse holders there, only tabs so it would be a cinch to stab a tabbed wire onto one of these.
I don't have a passenger power seat so I guess I could use that slot, but then I'd need a tapped fuse which I'd rather not fool with.
Anyone know the details on these very attractive power slots?
Tom

20A would be the max I would put through there......obviusly honda thinks the same thing as 20 amps the the largest fuse they use...
You can use any empty spot that you want....
