2008 Accord Issue-Check Engine, Blinking D Light
I have a 2008 v6 accord with 8k miles.
The check engine, VCM, and the triangle with an exclamation point were all on when I started it one day. The D4 light was blinking too, despite being in Park. Took it to the dealer, car drove awful, an obvious transimission issue. They replaced the computer. One week later, same thing. the car apparently had 12 error codes. It's been in the shop 8 days now and they THINK it's the fuse box....not sure if that's it or not. Anyone else have this problem??

i wouldnt be surprise if the gauge cluster is the one at fault. I doubt you'll find answer here tho, 08 Accord is just too new.

The lights stayed on as I drove and didn't go away. And it drove like crap (with every shift I thought the car was going to get stuck in a gear).

You have a brand new car that is under warranty. Why would you even bother asking here? Take it to the dealer.

The fuse box is actually not just a fuse box. The Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (a sort of computer itself) is part of the same box. I assume that's what they think the problem is. The MICU does control a lot of different things.

Were there any codes stored. Those lights come on when there is a fault in that system the flashing D4 light means something is wrong with the trans, likely a sensor of some type and your can is in "safe mode" to prevent any further damage, personally I would not of changed the ECM until I looked into the lights further

It really all depends.... iam a service advisor and would be surprised it could be a number of things... Check the transmission sensor on the drivers side underneath
the fixed part of the main harness. make sure therr is np rodent damage...I have seen that 3 times already.... the car will drive a shift hard because the communication link between the sensor and harness has been damaged.... go to your local honda to find out... iam at david mc david in irving texas if you have questions CSHELL@mcdavid.com
