Default Re: 2006 Accord timing belt

Just wondering, I was quoted a price this morning for a new timing belt (including water pump, hyd tensioner and drive belts) for a 2006 accord 6 cylinder. After discounts it comes to about $900. Any thoughts on whether its a decent deal? I live in central Florida. Thanks

The most important thing is to have the job done, correctly. $900 is about right for a dealership. Shop around, but don't go with any fly-by-night shop. I would get them to change a couple more parts for that price, like pulleys or seals. It's the best time to change coolant, since you will never get more of the old coolant out than after removal of the water pump.
