Default 2006 Accord EX-L 4cyl Seatbelt warning chime will not turn off.

My wife's 2006 Accord has had issues with the seat belt warning chime and light on the instrument cluster.
1st time it was one of the 3 wires going to the seat belt latch switch on the passengers side seat which I repaired.

Fast forward a few months now the drivers side will indicate that the drivers side seat belt is not fastened and sounds the seat belt warning chime along with the instrument panel light. I checked the same wires and they were good.
Possible intermittent switch on the buckle but I would expect it to stop sounding the chime and warning light if the switch was intermittent.

Took it to the dealer expecting them to replace the seat belt latch and they only reset the computer input for the sensor which lasted about 5 miles away from the dealer.

Trying to find a wire diagram to trouble shoot the system and the Chilton book is pretty much useless. 3 wires on the seat belt switch that connect to a connector under the seat but it appears according to my meter that the wires are connected to other points in the seat and not directly to the harness connector so I could just use a jumper to cut off the alarm. Tried to use a jumper then the airbag light came on until I removed the jumper.

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

They should have changed the driver's side buckle for you, under the lifetime seatbelt warranty. (at least it's lifetime for some models)

I was under the impression they were going to do just that.
The service advisor said that the circuit was operational for the seat belt latch.

I called later when the car was doing the same thing and he said that they would have to trouble shoot it and there was going to be a charge for labor.

I was trying to locate the chime box to disconnect it today but I couldn't find it so I called the dealer and spoke to the parts department and they couldn't find it in the parts system either.

I may just temporarily remove the seat belt from my 2003 Accord and connect it to the seat in the '06 just to verify that the seat belt indeed makes the contact in the internal switch. Then go from there.

Thanks for the reply.

Well I jumpered connected my seatbelt form my 2003 to the 2006 and the airbag light came on which is a whole other issue. I did however notice that when you disconnect the seatbelt switch wire connector under the seat the chime turned off which is what I wanted to do in the 1st place. I left the connector disconnected and have not heard the chime which was driving me nuts. The airbag light is on but I can tolerate that. Will have to do some more testing later.
