2005 Accord Lower Control Arm Bushing Leak?

2005 Accord Lower Control Arm Bushing Leak?
I drive a 2005 Accord V6 Coupe. I took my car into the dealer this last weekend for an oil change and was told that one of my compliance bushings (which I have since learned is part of the lower control arm) has a leak. I can't seem to determine whether or not this is a part that even has fluid that could leak. I've poked around the web, but can't find a straight answer. My car is currently sitting at another mechanic that I decided to have do some of the work recommended by Honda, and they say it doesn't make any sense to say that the part is leaking because it is pretty much just rubber, and that they checked everything and it looks fine. I called them back and asked that they just give everything another check to make sure that it all looks alright if it isn't too much trouble, and that I read online that the part may actually contain some fluid or something. But I'm really curious if the dealership is actually lying. Is this a part that can leak? Also: What is the function of this component and what effect would it going bad or leaking have on my car?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think your dealership is lying to you theres no type of hydraulic fluid. Or any kind in the lower compliance bushings in the control arms its just rubber with a steel retainer around the bushing pressed in the lower control arm.

That complaince bushing helps provide superior handing to the vehicle. And provide a comfortable ride. if you don't have the bushings or control arms replaced the rubber will disintegrate. And the control arms will start to wear on the subframe. Get it replaced as soon you can. To avoid farther damage.

Thanks for your replies! The mechanic said there's definitely nothing wrong with the bushings, and it really sounds like the dealer is just outright lying (or they're just stupid). Regardless, I'm probably going to stop servicing my car at the dealer. I've been inclined to in the past, but I don't see any reason after this kind of thing. They've sort of lost my trust.

Well I'm back and wondering if anyone knows whether or not this is a legitimate issue or if the dealer was trying to scam me. I found the following forum post for Honda pilots that talks about that model having compliance bushing leak problems because they used a hydrobushing and it was prone to doing that, and I can't determine whether or not the same bushing is used in the 2005 accord.
Wheel and Brake vibration - lower control arm bushing - Honda Pilot - Honda Pilot Forums
My car sort of fits those problem right now. I've got steering wheel shake when braking, but not consistently either. It's worse when I'm hard braking (especially downhill) at a fast speed, and I think I may have VERY slight vibration at high freeway speeds. I have been calling around about getting my front brakes and rotors replaced, but now I'm not so sure if that is the problem D:

only the pilots use the hydraulic fluid filled bushings ,and it only began around 2009/2010. Steering shimmy when braking sounds like your front rotors could use a resurfacing. And the other shimmy is probably out of balance tires.

Ft compliance bushings won't do that.. It is your front rotors more than likely that are warped...
I would either get them resurfaced or replaced before having the expense of the bushings and wasting money.
