2005 Accord CD Problem
I just had my 2005 Accord LX detailed. I left a CD in the player by mistake and while cleaning the dash the guy accidently ejected the CD while his hand was over the opening preventing the CD from ejecting properly and it got stuck with a small portion sticking out.
Was unable to use the eject button to get the CD out and could not push it in any further. CD button on the stereo would not work either. Managed to get the CD out but now the stereo will not accept any CD's. When you put one in, it only goes in about a 1/3 of the way and won't go any further. It appears that the insert/eject mechanism is locked.
Any suggestions on how to fix this without taking it in to the dealership?
thanks,
Warren

Re: 2005 Accord CD Problem
Hey Warren,
I don't know if anyone ever got back to you about this issue. My suggestion would have been to try detaching the battery cables to reset the ECU. It's possible that, if there was no harm to the CD player internally, "erasing the memory" of the event might clear things up. I see this happen in computer CD drives as well. It "forgets" a CD is in there and sometimes you just have to restart so it registers that it's actually still there. Anyway, hope you already resolved this issue! Just figured i'd chime in for future reference
