Default 2004 Honda Accord Navigation

I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX-L with a Navigation System. Has anyone ever noticed that the navi screen has you in a different place than where you are currently driving or it displays your location a few blocks off of your route. Also, my points of interest are always off. I live in Queens, New York and when I type in a popular location, e.g, Target or Home Depot, it tells me the closest POI is in Brooklyn, New York when these stores are in Queens. If so, please let me know what my options are?

That's weird. Sometimes my car does that too, but after a little while, maybe 30 seconds or so, it corrects itself. Does it correct itself?
