2004 Accord EX lock/unlock from key stopped working
I don't know if it's coincidence or not but I had my car in yesterday to have the rotors/pads replaced on the back wheels and since then the remote locking/unlocking doesn't work. The lights still flash as if it has locked and the trunk button still works. Is there anything involved with the above repairs that would affect the locking/unlocking mechanism?

Re: 2004 Accord EX lock/unlock from key stopped working (phwaap)
It seems I've been having all the possible problems on my Accord. This happened to me when I first bought the car in August 2006. The remote sensor (the part mounted inside the door) wouldn't lock/unlock the door, but it would still flash the lights and honk the horn as if it did lock. I brought it back and they replaced the sensor. This also happened to my brother's 02 Acura RSX-S.

What "sensor" did they replace? A door switch or something?
OP, does the security light in the instrument cluster start flashing or not? If not you may have something simple like a door switch problem. If it is flashing after you press the lock button but the doors are not locking I would head towards an actuator or control unit problem.

I'll verify the light in the cluster on the way home from work this evening. Since my original post I noticed that it is only the driver's side affected. Both the key and the lock switch on the door console will raise/lower the passenger's side but not the driver's.
