Hello Everyone,

I am having this "Noise" issue with my car since last year. However, it went away over the summer when the weather was warm, but as the weather is starting to get cold again my car makes this ODD noise in the morning towards where the Belt is. i mentioned it to a technician at the dealers but i couldn't explain the noise as this only happens when the car is cold, by the time i get to the technician it wasn't making any noise. This started happening after they chance some sort of a belt. Also there is some weird noise every time i turn my wheel and again this only happens in the morning or if the car has been sitting in cold for few hours or so. i am posting a link to a video which might give you a better idea of this "noise" if any of you guys might know what this is, please let me know so i can either take care of it myself of explain it to the technician.

Check the power steering fluid level first.

There was a TSB regarding this. An o-ring needs to be replaced. Usually air bubbles or foam is in the power steering fluid reservoir. I'll see if I can get you more info.

hello RedBull-1 thank you for you Help... now this will take care of my issue of moaning noise when turning the steering wheel when the engine is cold.

now do you what could be the reason behind the hissing noise i hear every time i turn on the cold engine?

once again thank you for the researching and posting the link to the thread i really really appreciate it.

Take care of the power steering o-ring first, then see if the hissing still exist. Better to isolate each problem and fix each one separately first. That way you wouldn't be throwing time and parts at it unnecessarily.

Also, are any accessories turned on when it is cold, e.g., A/C , etc.?

I think I hear a power steering pump thats low or empty on fluid...
I say listen to redbull he knows what hes saying.

I have the exact same problem with my 2003 Accord EX....anyone have the fix for this.....and why it only happened in the cold morning? Please, help? Thanks in advance!

The Belt May Have To Much Tension. 2 Tight. But after it heats up it expands a bit.

My 2003 Honda Accord just started making this noise too. Thanks everyone for the posts! They are extremely helpful to me as a woman trying to figure out car problems on her own.
