I recently brought home a 2011 Accord coupe Ex, onlything that bugged me was no OEM XM and I dislike the little Sirius/XM units with wires running all over the place.

So I went searching for a solution and this is what I came up with.



Ok, so here is a break down of what you will need:

08-12 XM radio head unit $75+
08-12 XM receiver $50+(get the correct one for your model coupe/sedan)
Honda XM attachment kit 08B15-SNA-100B $54 (2007 Civic SI under accessories)
(All you need is the BUS cable and a few bolts, padded strips)
Honda Sub harness Y adaptor 08A31-0F1-000 $11 (2007 Civic Si under accessories)
Sirius/XM magnet mount antenna
Honda to XM/sirius antenna adaptor $40 (mrbrianrwebb@gmail.com)

So I'm not going to cover the removal of the Head unit, center console, back seat or passenger trunk liner, but they all need to come out.

Once that's done, remove original Head unit from the dash radio bezel and install new head unit, its 6 screws.

Grab your BUS cable from the XM attachment kit and plug it into one leg of the Y harness adaptor and run the BUS cable along the wiring harness under the center console, up under the back seat and into the trunk. Use the foam tape to secure the BUS cable along the wiring harness.







Install XM receiver in the stock location, plug in Honda to XM/sirius antenna adaptor, plug in BUS cable and ziptie/secure the loose cabling.




Reinstall all trim panels/pieces and enjoy your XM radio.
