04 Accord A/C is killin' me!!
So the dessicant bag in my drier broke and clogged the condenser. I replaced the condenser, cleaned all hoses, compressor and coil with compressed air, recharged and A/C worked for about a week. Now the compressor clutch and condenser fan will not work when AC is engaged on dash. Fan works when AC is off, and there are 14 volts going to the compressor when AC is off (this confuses me - seems backwards) but no voltage when I engage the AC.
Help!!!

Fuses and relays all check out. Voltage and continuity are normal on all relays, fuses and circuits. The only strange thing (which I can't find an answer for) is the voltage going to the compressor when the AC is off but not when it's on.

If I didn't understand wrong what you discribed, you measure 14V at compressor clutch connector. Assume you did everything correctly when you replaced the A/C components and the compressor clutch assembly is good, your A/C system should be working and vents should be blowing cold air when the A/C dash switch is off. If this is the case, your A/C system is working fine. The only problem is most likely in the control logic such as expensive climate control unit. But the good news is that rarely happened. If this is not the case, you need be more specific and detailed about your Accord's symptom. Second, are both of your radiator and condenser fans working when A/C switch is off? and also from your discription, once you push A/C switch or Auto, condenser fan turns off?

just a thought but i'm wondering if when you put it all back together you now have a leak, thus refrigerant has leaked out to where when you try to turn it on, the low pressure switch is preventing it from working
did you check to see if there is gas in the system even
when its not running?

Re: 04 Accord A/C is killin' me!!
Pressure is fine - I still have plenty of refrigerant. Both cooling fans work when AC is off. I bridged the connections on the low pressure switch just in case and no difference. I am going to try jumping the compressor today with the AC switch on and see if the compressor comes on - if it doesn't come on I will assume there is something wrong with the compressor and evacuate the system so I can work directly with the compressor.
