03 Accord gas door will not release
Does anyone know if there is an alternate way to open the gas door than pressing the button inside the car? The button sticks when you press it and doesn't open the gas door. It will still open the trunk when you pull it up. I looked all over for some kind of emergency release but am having no luck. Can I pry it open if I need to?

i figured it out.. take your kick panel off where the latch is and there should be another panel with a screw on top right underneath.. unscrew it and pull it off to expose the metal housing, and you should see a set screw type thing which creates the tension to pop the gas door.. just sit it back where it should be and tighten it, and just make sure both your trunk and gas door open after you screw it in, because it might take some adjustment to get them both to open

If you have got it opened by now - I learned from the dealer (when this happened to me) when you fill up with gas and put the gas cap back on - be sure the plastic strap that holds the cap on is away from the latch as it catches and your gas door will not open from the inside. Hope this helps
