Default 03 Accord coupe: Ducting controls don't work. HVAC problem.

2003 Honda Accord LX coupe.

5 Speed.

There are no major issues with the car, the only problem is the AC/Heat will not blow properly out of the face vents.

The AC works and turns on (only the feet and defogger) vents have air coming out of them.

Occasionally some air can be felt coming out of the driver side vent, but it's more like released air than fanned air.

Anyone encounter this problem? It's driving me nuts.

Do all of the indicator lights turn on? If you have indicator lights out, and if they correspond to the positions that do not work, the control head most likely failed, seen this alot, and it shows up different every time.

You can run a motor test by removing the controller and powering the motors directly, before you do that though when was the last time it worked? You may have a broken door/linkage or stripped motor.

Down by the drivers feet next to the center console is the location of the mode motor. They fail often enough. Get down there and see if it is moving while you switch modes. (You have to remove a couple of trim pieces to access it)
