When replacing the rear main seal...
Ok so I have a bad oil leak, and upon inspection it looks like it is going to be the rear main seal when I go to replace it, what other seals should I replace while the car is torn apart? This is the first time I will be going this on a FWD car so i'm new to it. I am going to replace the oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and rear main seal... anything else come to mind to you guys? Also, I have been looking at some gasket kits on ebay... any one used these before??

Unless the vendor can guarrantee that the sets' made up from Felpro (or like suppliers) I'll never use them.
This is not something you can chance to cheezy knock-off gaskets and seals. You don't want to have to do this job twice.
Maybe something like this from TAS Auto Parts

Re: When replacing the rear main seal...
Do not ever use aftermarket seals especially for the rear main seal only use genuine honda parts i have seen so many aftermarket rear main seals start leaking later on and then you have to pull the tranny again just to fix that seal. Go to you local honda dealership and get the seals there no that much compared to the trouble your gonna have pulling the transmission.

First, for a seal that is such a huge pain in the *** you should use a oem part. Now would be the time to make sure the axle seals are good as well. Other than that just have a good look while its all apart and now would be the time to do the T.O.B. on the trans if its making noise, if not leave it alone.
