Default 2.25 to 2.5 catback exhaust

My exhaust has rusted through in many places including the flex pipe. Instead of replacing it all with stock, I am going to just get a catback exhaust. I found one through spec-d tuning, but it is 2.5 piping. Will the flanges on that, bolt up to my catalytic converter? Or will I need to modify it to work? I know that spec-d isn't the greatest choice, if anything I will cut off the muffle on it and weld on a new one. Also if anyone has any tips to make the hangers work if they don't line up, that would be great. Thanks!

most of those ebay exhuasts are not a true 2.5....some are really a 2.25 and some are a 2.5 outer diameter but are really 2.36 inner diameter

there is no way of knowing if it will need modification but if its like the ebay-type exhaust i had then it shouldnt

Most of the hangers will line up, you might have some rattling with the heat shields. But your cat should line up, at least mine did. I had my axle back portion modified to clear the right rear control arm because it was rubbing and I had a Megan muffler welded on.
