You don't need to. 87 will do just fine.

No reason to run higher than 87 unless you are running forced induction or a built up motor. If you are still stock than just stick with 87 and you will do just fine.

if you still have the accord motor, then 87, 89 is cool.

I found that on my 95 EX, with 94, the car was actually less powerful, and at the track, I was doing worst times than when I had 87.

there was an article and study done where most times you should use the recommended octane for ur car. anythign less or more makes the car run slower. I'll try to find the article. 87 octane sounds about right for your car. i used to have a 94 (same gen) and i ran with 87. Unless of course as someone pointed out, u have forced induction.

87 octane burns easily and therefore more completely than say 92 octane when comparing the stock ignition system, timing etc.

On a stock car/ignition you will generate more carbon with higher octane so it will do more harm than good. Stick with 87 octane...unless your car is modified then its a whole different topic.

NO, the fuel actually burn slower, the well known low compression accord motor will have hard time burning 100% of the gas, the quach-area will form carbon after number of year(depends on condition of the motor).
carbon is the black tar **** inside your motor.

if your piston head got enough of the carbon, it will start a good old two flame fronts on a hot summer day(going uphill, a/c on and the engine melt/break stuff inside)
