Weird Squeaking Noise Coming From Suspension......????
What's up all,
I've got a 2000 Honda Accord SE (same car as in signature). About a month or so ago, I noticed a weird (and very annoying I might add) squeaking sound whenever driving. I had all four struts replaced with Monroe OEM Struts. This did not fix the problem.
Whenever I'm going over bumps and badly paved roads the squeaking intensifies. When I’m driving on smooth paved roads the squeaking does not occur. This squeaking does not affect the performance of the car but it's very, very, annoying. The sound is not loud, but I'd like to fix the problem as soon as I can locate the source.
The car was involved in a front end collision earlier this year, but the squeaking comes from the back too. I'm thinking maybe it’s the ball joints. I'm not thinking CV joints b/c what I've read on the internet does not correspond with my problems.
Thanks in advance. PLEASE HELP!!!

A month ago, did the weather start cooling down to colder temperatures? During the winter, I notice the same noises you are mentioning, and I believe it is due to the bushings in the suspension just being cold. From what I hear, you can lube up the bushings and it should decrease the noise. Maybe this is part of your issue?

I have stock suspension, nothing aftermarket. I don't think I have a swaybar. Please continue with the suggestions.

You dont think or you know for sure? You may want to go double check by looking under your car.
After looking at some diagrams on SLHonda you should have a 26.5mm sway bar in the front and a 16mm sway bar in the rear.

Yup i had this problem. Some greasing of the swaybar bushing made it go away. And yes your car does have front and rear swaybars.
