Re: Trunk Swap LX-EX (H2290)
I love these posts. They post a random newbie question, log off, then come back four days later to see flames.
90-93 yes 2/4dr
94-95 yes 2/4dr
96-96 yes 2/4dr
98-02 yes 2dr
98-02 yes 4dr
I'm tired so if anyone can correct me please do.

I only need to add that
94-97 2 and four / coupe not just 96 96..
and also that this dude is kinda retarded for asking about trim level in a trunk swap...
Coupe/Sedan would have been the smarter question to ask.

Re: (hondaccord)
The only difference is that there are no inner tails on a 96-97
Trunk, I have personally had to install (Due to a cheap *** owner)
A 94 Trunk Lid on a 97 SE...It looks silly until you change the tails to the 94-95 Style lol..

the springs are different. different mount, they do look simular, but function in different ways, such as the 94-95s have trunk shocks, the 96- 97 are just spring loaded.

Yeah the 94/95 uses scissor hinges and 96/97 uses a spring loaded swing arm hinge. The 94/95 hinge system sucks IMO.
The tail lights change on most accords every 2-3 years during a body style run. 98-02 they change in 00 or 01 I don't recall which.

So you are saying that you have personally installed a 94 trunck lid on a 97 chassis? I would like to see proof. I'm not calling you a liar but from everything I've read the two lids are different in not only looks but dimensionally as well. I've also read the outer tail lights of the 96-97 can not be interchanged with the 94-95 tail lights because of different shape or something. Again, I'm not calling you a liar because I've never personally tried any of this but from everything I've read it's not possible so I would like to see proof.

Re: (TouringAccord)
well it sucks that I never took any pictures..
so now I seem like a liar either way...
well I guess I will just shut up I suppose...
There was alot of work to get it to fit...It was a project at south seattle community college so we tried it, swapping out the opening mechanisms was the hardest part of that process...But sadly we let it leave and the guy was rear ended by a dumptruck like the next day lol..I'm not a Liar I guess, just a creative truth teller lol..Becuase Honestly it never did quite fit right lol..

Re: Trunk Swap LX-EX
You can only easily do like for like: coupe to coupe, sedan to sendan, within the same year range. Anything else and you would be customizing the fit, unlikely for the average person to be doing.
