Tire size question for 2000 Accord SE
Hi guys! I'm looking to replace my aging tires, and was wondering if you could point out some pros and cons of going to a wider wheel (205 over 195) and will this affect the speedometer?
I've done a little research, and the Potenza RE950 looked to be one of the top rated tires, and I've also heard a lot of good things about them from this forum. My 2nd choice was the Michelin Pilot XGT H4. (I'm in Atlanta, so we don't see much snow) If anyone has a differing opinion please share!
P.S. Thanks for all the pro's out there that share their opinions; this is the best resource I've found for mods, repairs and maintenance on the web. Keep up the great work.

going to 205 will give you more grip...but also give you more pronounced body roll...
if you go 205 you will want 205/60-15 which will in turn make your gear ratios closer, helping acceleration a bit....
go with the 205's

What's the stock tire size, 195/65-15?
yup...6th gens have big *** tires

There will be no problems involved in going from 195/65 to 205/60. Your speedo will be effect but very slightly, you wont even notice it.
However, those tires are ok for daily driving, but if daily driving is what you want, then why do you need a wider tire?

Stock 4th and 5th gen were 195/60-15.
A 195/65-15 is a big *** tire with a big *** floppy sidewall.
