Default TCM / TCU Question

I have a 93 Accord EX Automatic. My tcm / tcu keeps sending a dtc 7 (shift selonoid) and I checked everything alldata said to check,
A25 and A5 voltage (no)
Resisitance between 12-24 (yes)
After that is says check connections or substitute a good TCM.
I got another tcm from the salvage yard yesturday and it sends out the same code. And another thing when I reset the tcm it drives perfect with no code from 30 min to 3 hours, and when the code does set I only have second and third gear
Anyone think it's still the tcm or am I just missing something? Thanks.

Yah I've found a lot of post with the same topic, but no one ever re post anything saying what it was or if they fixed it. I can't believe people ask for help and use everyones time, but they can't even re post with their resolution. That's just not right. If I get it fixed I will post the repair. And I will fix it one way or another.

ok guys, here's what's up. I replied with the same comment in another post but in case someone has followed this one here it goes.

I had a dtc 7 for the A shift control solenoid. Today I put a used one on there and it worked. The d4 light is not blinking anymore and the transmission shifts through all gears. Let me tell you what though, I tested the old solenoids and they checked out ok. So I don't know why they checked out ok, but if it comes back I will go to the dealer and buy new ones. I also replaced my capacitors in the tcu a couple days ago, and before that I had a dtc 8 for the B solenoid as well and that went away after I replaced the capacitors. So I don't know anything for sure but just to be safe I ordered a new tcu. Good luck guys.

Just to update. Transmission is still shifting fine and the D4 is still not blinking anymore. I guess I had two problems. Selonoids and the TCU / TCM. I'm wondering if the selonoids going bad have an effect on the tcu going bad? Who knows. But it's fixed.

Just in case anyone does read this post, make sure you get the exact tcu that goes to your car if you replace it or you will have more problems then when you started.

Usually if a code light stays on when the connector is shorted it is indicating that there are no codes stored.
