Hello,


I have a 1996 VTI-S Accord with a F22B1 in it from factory,
Sadly its auto but hey it shifts quick still,
I had the factory intake pipe on it with a pod filter adapter and pod filter from my 1996 Subaru Legacy GT-B,
It worked okay and the sound was really enjoyable as you could hear all the induction sounds a Honda should have,


I bought the car for $1000 2 years ago as a run around and I literally do not give 2 ***** about this car and don't want to spend anything on it except time and what I have lying about,


I looked at all that mumbo jumbo coming off the standard pipe and thought this cant be any good for induction - researched on intake systems, both CAI and Short Ram,


Took off the standard pipe from the throttle body and all the extra BS except left the unit with the funny little butterfly valve,


Now its obviously what seems like 20*Louder than previously and when it gets up to about 5500rpm it REALLY gets a loud Honda twang sorta sound and down low at 2000rpm if you WOT in 2nd gear it lets out a monstrous roar but doesn't have any pull till it gets boogying at about 4000rpm,

How long will this method last? what benefit would I gain from spending money on a Short Ram compared to this?
It seems to pull a lot harder right up to the redline now and before it used to slow down before it got to the redline


and a side question how much RPM will the stock head handle before valve float begins and a piston slaps a valve? Thinking about bumping it up for fun now that it seems to want to go further... I have removed the CAT and thinking about gutting the muffler and I am using 96 MON fuel
