Strange noise and vibration on clutch pedal
Hi all,
I just got replaced both the master and slave clutch cylinders on a 95 Honda Accord, and I now notice some weird symptoms. First one is the clutch pedal seem to vibrate a lot (when I touch my foot on the pedal, I can feel the vibration) when accelerating, and at high speed. Second, I notice there is a weird sound coming near the clutch pedal when I hit the gas. The sound get louder as my rpm increase roughly starting at 3k and did not hear that noise after 5k rpm. I dont know how to describe the sound, but it kind of like a hollow noise. Third, and this could be the fluid is not bleed enough, but my pedal pressure sometime is hard, sometime it soft, and sometime it just stay down and I have to pull it up. Once I pulled the pedal up, the pedal pressure is back to normal. I have not try to bleed more yet since I just got it done last Friday. I looked around the connector and did not see any leaks, the fluid reservoir is full.
Any suggestions?

Re: Strange noise and vibration on clutch pedal
slave cylinder bolted down all the way?
is the fork that your throw out bearing rides on, on correctly?
maybe you have a faulty new master cyl that could be leaking internally?
bench bleed the slave and master cylinders?
it sounds like sometime the clutch line holds pressure and sometimes not. or its just not all the way bled.. I have done this and it absolutely took forever to bleed. make sure none of your new parts are internally leaking.

auto parts stores brand master cylinders are junk. I'm hoping you didn't have one of those installed. Second, it's really easy to get air bubbles trapped in the system when doing the master cylinder bleed if you don't squeeze the reservoir hose to push out all the air bubbles through the reservoir prior to starting the actual bleed.

take off the rubber piece that is on the slave cylinder, master cylinder (same principle).
if fluid comes out, your part is leaking internally which is no good.

Re: Strange noise and vibration on clutch pedal
I bought both master and slave from ADLER brand, which I thought it was decent. I sure hope they are. As far as checking any leaks, there are no fluid coming out of those area as mentioned.
Another thing is how come my pedal vibrate a lot at high speed? This happened for a long time already. Already had my clutch, flywheel and throw out bearing replaced last March. It just happen to vibrate a little more than I can remember.
