1999 accord problemss.
First of all. im not really accord fanatic or something. i just wanna ask about my dads car.
Upgrades:
1. DC Headers
2. AEM Intake
3. Greddy Exhaust (cut the muffler.neighbor complained that was too loud at night)
So, my dads 1999 honda accord have problems right now. dealer said its spitting too much gas. But i dont see any problems w/ the mpg. He went to this dealership around chicago. workers just wasted my dads money. the first day he went there.they were diagnosing the car. they found nothing and he gave them around $200.00. They said they were seeing some problems(not sure where. second time. he went there they found out wats the problem. the intake needs to be replace. BUT Im not sure is that intke as something to do w/ the gas.. not sure im jst new here. dearlership chargin him $90 per hour. he was there for 4 hours. But they gave a discount and came out of $100+..this is the best part.. they said. please come back and we'll look at the car again.. I told my dad dont come back tehre again.
2 problem. the real thing that dealership shoulda just focus on. When i turn left. the car was ticking.. I think thats the drivers axle that needs to be replace. right??? not so sure. im just 17
3 problem. when the car is runnin you can here a loud noise coming underneath the car. and wen i slow down. its gone. if i hit 45mph and gone also. i dont not the problem is. This shoulda be the first thing tht the dearlership looked at first not some please come back n we'll look at it again.

First, dad is sporting a few upgrades......a little info that will haunt me in the future, my youngest son is 17....
1. Are there any stored codes? If not, walk away from there unless there is more to this story.
2.Yes sounds like a cv shaft.
3. Could be related to #2? What kind of "noise" is this.

Ok a humming is differnt than a tick-understandin sounds in words is not that easy so take the rest of this with that in mind. Sounding more like a bad hub bearing.
