Screeching Noise coming from front passenger side wheel
Hi everyone, I recently changed the front struts in my 98 accord. A couple of days after changing the struts I was getting a rattling noise that seemed to come from the top of the struts, it started on one side then the next day started on the other side. After that there seems to be this screeching noise that comes from the front passenger side wheel only when I'm driving at low speeds <25mph.
Today I checked the strut assembly on both side and tightened them up a bit, which for now seem to have taken care of the rattling but not the screeching noise.
The screeching noise is most prominent when someone thats >170 lbs sits in the passenger side
Also the top of the strut assembly under the car hood seems to be leaning towards the side a bit .. I think this might the source of the noise, as to me it looks like its touching that metal part .. if so does that mean the top nut needs to loosened some? By the way I don't have any torque tools so I don't know if it was torqued properly or not but it is sitting higher than the struts it replaced but the threading on the new struts started quite a bit lower than the original OEM ones that were previously in the car
EDIT
Now it screeches all the time, and quite loudly too. I'm taking out the shocks tomorrow to have a look at it and see exactly whats going on
