Re: Sandwich adapter leaks when I turn on my car
The op says "he sandwich plate that goes infront of the oil filter and trans-dept"....what the heck is in front of the oil filter - the block? - but then I have no idea what "and tran-dept" means or is
I've always like grape jelly on my peanut butter and jelly sandwich's......
OP - got a pic of the location of this leak?

The leak is coming from the sandwich adapter that is between the block and adapter I tried tightening it more but it's still leaking, now do you understand?

You've never heard of trans-dept? Well it's not an eBay brand you can look it up I tried getting a good quality brand

Re: Sandwich adapter leaks when I turn on my car
I am only guessing here, but are referring to an oil cooler? If so, was it originally on your car or did you add it?
And FWIW the manufacturer or brand name is Trans-Dapt.
You will have to check and make sure that the gaskets (o-ring) is the proper thickness and that the adapter is actually tightening to the block and not just tightening up to the center nut. Also you should check for any deep scratches in the gasket surfaces.
What was the Trans-Dapt part number that you bought?

Re: Sandwich adapter leaks when I turn on my car
Just read online the thread size on the Honda is 20mm x 1.5 and the thread size on the trans Dapt 1313 is 3/4 so I'm off about a mm thanks for your help

Re: Sandwich adapter leaks when I turn on my car
It's not that you are off a mm. it is that your are running a standard thread on a metric engine. That would definetly cause it to leak. You need to buy the metric adaptor.
Trans dapt only makes 22mm x1.5 or an 18mm x1.5 metric adapters.
