Replacing stock rear 6x9's with home stereo speakers
Alright, so I'm a broke *** college kid yay..I can't afford a nice speaker setup so I'm stuck with putting my house stereo speakers into my Accord. I recently owned an Eclipse and was successful with interchanging the speakers, but i'm having more difficulty with the Accord.
The house speakers just have the black and red wires, and the 6x9's have a wiring harness attached to them, containing 4 wires hooked into a switch. Can I cut the 4 wires and hook the black&red into them, if so which one's do i hook into cause i don't want to short anything.
OR would it be easier to just hook the house speakers straight into the back of the head unit? Obviously I'm a noob when it comes to this, so please don't get too over my head with directions lol, thanks

What is your reasoning for doing this swap? Unless your original speakers are blown there will be no gain in doing this. Your house speakers will not be any better than the stock speakers on a stock head unit. In order for a larger wattage speaker to be of any gain you would need an Amp!

this is the place for deals on speakers
the cheapest set of 6x9s on that site will do better than your home audio speakers. if that's still too much money, go down to the blood bank and sell some plasma like all of the other broke college students do. If you don't feel like "stooping that low" just to pay for some speakers then don't put speakers in. wait.
