Release fork vibration and release bearing noise

Release fork vibration and release bearing noise
I have a 98 Accord F23A1 that I just purchased with 225K on it. The previous owner said the clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing was just replaced and had a receipt stating such. Unfortunately, the clutch kit came from advance auto.
I usually do my own work and have replaced a few FWD clutches. However, the release bearing is making a slight noise (sounds like a slipping belt) and I noticed the release fork (clutch fork) vibrates a little. If I just every so slightly rest my foot on the clutch pedal, the fork stops vibrating and the noise goes away. If, while the car running, I take my hand and apply pressure in any direction of the fork the noise goes away. I can also grab the fork in my hand and push it towards the driver side and can push the slave cylinder in.
Is this normal? Usually when I have had a release bearing go bad it sounds like a rough bad bearing. This is a light noise and all it takes is very slight pressure (basically have the fork stop vibrating) for it to go away. Could it be a bad slave cylinder? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Release fork vibration and release bearing noise
Just me, but with the engine off, press the clutch and listen - is there a small noise? Sometimes the pin/piston on the slave where it contacts the arm can make a noise.

Re: Release fork vibration and release bearing noise
I put some high temp grease in, seemed to help some. Still making the noise a little, maybe a bad slave cylinder? Though its not leaking.

Re: Release fork vibration and release bearing noise
Just me but anti-seize seems to work better.
Again if you are getting "the"/some noise when the car is off and pressing the clutch.
Remember, the throwout bearing is only under load and "working" when the clutch is pressed in.....with the clutch not pressed...the bearing is really just kind of along for the "ride"

Re: Release fork vibration and release bearing noise
I think you are just imagining an issue with the clutch fork without there actually being an issue.
As lost_again already said, relube the ball piece that the slave cylinder rests against. Just put a big glob of grease on that ball piece. See if the noise goes away.
