Default passanger headlight not having full power? very dim.

My 98 accord passanger side headlight is really dim. so i bought new headlights, still Dim. my friend reccomended replacing the connector where you put the bulb in cause the connections can go bad. I went and got HID kit, choped the old connector to make room for the new one. Now the light just flickers, then when its solid, its still really dim. So im assuming the connection is bad elsewhere... Any idea's?

Headlight relay is fine, any idea where the ground for this is? Could I just gangster rig it and put the black cable to the frame somewhere?

There are 2 headlight relays. Ground is located right (pass.) side of engine compartment, stack of 5 ground wires.

I second the ground. That is the first thing that came to my mind. Be sure your ground wire has a clean, non-painted contact with the frame.

i ran the ground directly to the battery and the headlight is still the same brightness, now using 2 different headlights to make sure its not just a dud light. Where is the relay? i want to make sure i checked the right thing?

Relays are in underhood fusebox.
