Radio Wiring Issue? Head Spinning
So a couple weeks ago I bought a 1992 accord lx with 137,000 on her. Great car, but a lot of little things to fix. Tail light sensor is bad but managed to fix it long enough to pass inspection. RPM's were rough so cleaned throttle body and Air Control Valves. Auto shifting was rough so changed the trans fluid. Didn't use Honda ATF (I know I know), but the manual for this model/year says Dexron II, I guess because Honda ATF wasn't a thing yet. I used Dexron III/Mercon ATF and it works just fine.
However, I noticed a little bit after changing the fluid the radio wasn't working. I doubt it's related with that, maybe something happened in the jacking up process? So the radio turns on and I can see the display and all, but there's no sound at all, except for the occasional clicking noise coming from the head unit itself. Also, the power antenna doesn't open at all. When I preset a radio station, it works fine but there's no "beep" sound that used to happen before. The cassette deck doesn't work either. I put in my iPhone cassette tape and it spits it back out after a few seconds. Under dash 10 amp radio/power antenna fuse is fine.
When I first got the car the radio acted weird. When I turned the car off there would be a winding noise from the cassette deck. That eventually stopped. Just at a loss for what could be wrong. Maybe I disconnected something in the trunk accidentally? There are two connectors hanging down from each speaker in the trunk. Feel like those should go somewhere but now sure. Think i'll pull the head unit out, clean it and check connections in the back. Don't know how they could all of a sudden crap out though. Oh well, it's a 92...I guess this is not too surprising.
Any ideas???
Thanks!
