Default question about fuel induction service

i've got a 94 lx. my baby's only got 85,000 on it and i'm getting around 18-19 mpg city driving and 21-22 highway. i got a new timing belt the other day and the guy told me i need a "fuel induction service". it's gonna cost 120 but i wanna know if any other people have done this and if it worked to improve the mileage. i really hate going to get gas every 5-6 days and finding that i'm getting mileage like a truck. if any of you have had a fuel induction service done on your car tell me how much it helped. thanx.

i had my fuel system cleaned at Jiffylube for $60 and it did two things (car had 100K on it)

1. made the idle a lot smoother
2. made the car easier to start when it was cold

gas milage was not affected in my case........

What all does Jiffy lube do??

I asked Honda what they did and they told me they hooked up a machine and shot some stuff directly through under pressure, "cleaned" the air induction area... (maybe throttle body cleaner?) and then put somehting in the fuel tank..

a "three step system" so they said...

but the jiffy sounds like it might be worth it at that price..

JL does the same thing sort of

highpressure bottle on in intake via vaccum port and highly concentrated FI cleaner in the gas tank....not too many places hook directly into the fuel line as a lot of cars do not have access ports......it is about time for me to clean the egr ports on my car though.......
