Quaife lists their lsd's for:
Honda Accord 1990–97, Prelude 1992–96, Prelude 1997–00 (except SH)

The 99 Accord 5spd f23a tranny is basically the same as the years listed above (minus the gear ratio's and what not). So my question is, will the quaife LSD listed above work in the 99 f23a tranny? The OEM diff part numbers are listed below.

why dont you just pick up a stock h22 tranny and put a lsd in that, you can take a half second off your quarter mile no problem

please elaborate. you can easily drop a 5th gen tranny onto an F23A1. You can easily drop an H22 tranny onto an F23A1. what is so different about the 98-02 manual transmission that the quaife unit can not be used?

Exactly. We are talking about the inline 4's... not the v6's.

he did not say manual or auto so I guessed auto which are different from previous years.

Precision I would guess that the 5th gen accord quaife kit would work fine on the F23 transmisison.

Unfortunately I can't confirm that 100% as I don't plan to remove my transmission any time soon (hopefully &lt;sigh&gt but an LSD is definitely a much needed upgrade for my car so I'm very interested if this works. You can swap gears from the H trans into the F23 trans so I'd think you could swap the LSD in as well. I bet they've just never gotten their hands on an F23 transmission to confirm that it will work so they won't market it.

call them and talk to a technical support man there......he might could tell you if there was a good reason why it's not listed for that year model tranny. i have a Quaife LSD for sale right now, and when i looked on Quaife's site, i saw that it said what you posted above.......

Prelude 97-00 (except SH)

I was wondering why it wouldn't list the 01 preludes as well. is the tranny that different in those?
