Default projector headlights for HID

I have a pair of HID in stock housing but the beam pattern is very diffuse. I've been looking around for a pair of projector headlights but I don't know what kind to get. I searched around HT with little success. I found that that angel eyes have really bad light output, otherwise nothing to help me in my search. So my questions are:

1. what kind of projectors do other accord drivers use? what do you recommend?
2. where can i get a pair?
3. Are JDM headlights = projector headlights? (can HIDs work in them??)

If i missed a thread during my HT search please tell me so i can find it and read up on it. Thanks

What year accord do you have?

If you have a 7th gen Accord, you can use the JDM Inspire headlights, as they are made for HIDs (reflectors, not projectors). AFAIK, the Inspire headlights bolt right on.

Any Accord older than that, I would suggest a complete OEM HID retrofit, using projectors from an S2000, BMW, Audi, etc. IM Bionic, or see http://www.customlightz.com/ for professionally retrofitted headlights.

Let me try to be as clear as possible here.

You can make angel eyes very bright, but don't expect that from ebay headlights.

Here is a pic of a 02 Maxima...those are custom angel eyes using 2 LEDs with resistors, and the light coming from the shroud is custom CCFL...of course something different from LEDs.

Now to the numbered questions:
If you want HID projectors in your headlights, then in my opinion the right and only way is to use OEM parts from either a TSX, TL or S2000. The E46, Valeo etc, are ok, but they produce about half of the light output of Stanley made projectors. Thus, if you are going to put the money and time aside you should do it right, but once again this is my opinion and by no means the correct way of thinking.

Second, you can get a pair of OEM HID projectors on this forum as well as others, and Ebay always carries them. I wouldn't only be concerned about the projectors, but the ballast, igniters and bulbs too.

I am not familiar with JDM headlights that have HID Projectors in them. I know of reflector HIDs..using D2R bulbs, but the light output is no where near a set of S2000 projectors.

Please feel free to ask any further questions regarding HIDs and HID retrofitting.
As long as you don't ask me to write a DIY

Cheers
