Power loss on 1st and 2nd gear
Just picked up a 2002 Accord LX with 216XXX miles. Got it from a friend that purchased the vehicle brand new on '02. Clutch has never been replaced and it the grabbing point is pretty high.
When I accelerate off of 1st and 2nd gear, the car hesitates and feels like it has a loss of power, but when I get up to 3,000 RPM, it starts to accelerate normally. It only does this on 1st & 2nd gear, other gears are fine.
I am also getting these CEL codes: P0301,P0302,P0303,P0304,P0300, & P1399.
Has anyone encountered these issues?
*Note: Vehicle is stock (no aftermarket parts)
Thanks!

egr system operates until 3000 rpms...i would start there...clean out the egr valve and the egr ports
you can verify by pulling the egr valve connector and when the check engine code comes up for egr valve it will turn off the egr system and if the issue goes away it's the egr ports and egr valve clogged up

Re: Power loss on 1st and 2nd gear
So I ran the car with the EGR connector unplugged and the codes went away, but still sluggish at the beginning of first and second. But, the acceleration did improve slightly. I then replaced the EGR valve with a used one and cleaned the ports, but now I'm getting these codes: P0302,P0303,P0304,P1399. There is a slightly better improvement at the lower band of 1st and 2nd though. Any other suggestions? Should I replace the plugs and wires? I also, replaced the dizzy but it didn't make any improvements.

What do your plugs look like?
You can test the spark plug wires resistance and replace them if needed.
Could also try a compression test. Do you know when the valve clearances were checked last?

Re: Power loss on 1st and 2nd gear
I did the compression test and we have great compression. I replaced the spark plugs and wires, that fixed the issue. Now I have to replace the clutch! Thx for all your input!
