power door locks keep trying to lock repeatedly...
my friends 95 accord EX has power door locks. whenever you lock the doors, they keep trying to lock about once a second for a minute until they finally quit trying to lock.
it seems like some switch that verifies that the door lock solenoids have actually engaged the locks is not working. has anyone heard of this problem or are familiar with the power lock system?
Thanks,
Joe

hmmm....well...i do know that on the 5th gen accords that the door locks are made so that you can't lock your keys in the car...the driver's side door will never lock when the door is open...you have to do it from the outside......also the passenger door will lock when open so that shouldn't be any trouble...but i've never heard of this happen for a minute at a time...hmmm

Power door lock actuator. Very common problem. It's usually the drivers door that causes it. Most dealers will have it in stcok because it's so common.

Dayum. I've never heard of such a problem. ****, the only problem I ever had with my 4G is, ummmm, ummmmmm, oh, none. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
Well... the distributor was replaced under recall... that's it.

thanks for all the feedback guys. HidPerf, you're saying to just replace the whole door lock actuator? There is no way to fix it, or too much a hassle to break into it? It seems like just a bad switch.
we will try the door handle trick and see if that stops it.
Thanks again, Joe

I have replaced 3/4 door acutators, and they still keep on locking. It really isnt a big deal, I dont know what to do,
