Never again
In all my 54 years on this planet I have never owned a japanese import, or any import for that matter. After working on my accord I think I can honestly say it will be another 54 years before I even think of owning another. I'll keep on supporting America.

Re: Never again
My Civic was also built in Ohio. Last Civic was built in Ontario, America Junior.
I work auto parts and have worked for a few dealerships in the area.. I will never in my life support Chrysler in particular. Chrysler is mostly junk. Their vans in particular make me sad since they're the models most commonly coming in for issues, but they're also the most popular wheelchair van in America (because they're the cheapest). Dodge, same thing, has some other lovely business practices involving the difficulty to reproduce parts aftermarket, even when Dodge no longer wants to make them.
I sure am glad the OP explained all the good reasons not to own a Honda or even his Honda though. After reading all that I'm even a little unsure. I mean... he had an Accord of unknown age, condition or modification and he had some unknown problem or problems with it.
I can only imagine how frustrating that must have been.
Anyway, thanks for letting us all know what a pile of junk every car made by a Japanese auto maker must be because you say your theoretical car was inferior to some unknown American auto maker's model(s).
