Please help: Damaged transmission or drive-shaft bearing???
Yesterday I decided to replace the outer CV boot joint that was torn. I followed this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/1997-accord-brakes-tutorial-1281812/
to remove the rotor, I attempted to use the hub puller but because my rotors were so rusted in place, it served no help and I pushed in my axle which I believe might have damaged either my transmission or drive shaft bearing. I was finally able to get to the CV outer boot and replace it accordingly. After I put everything back together, I went for a drive. What I noticed immediately was that my car was vibrating in the front like the car was driving over uneven/rocky road. It was really apparent when I made a turn in 2nd gear. It felt like underneath the car vibrated as I steered, and the vibration seemed to roll from my driver side to passenger side and vice versa depending on which side I steered. I drove around the block for a while and the problem persisted and I drove back into the garage, jacked the car up and accelerated in 1st and 2nd gear. In 1st gear I could feel a little bit of vibration (like car was riding over uneven road) was not as obvious even when I steered from left to right. When I did the same in 2nd gear, the vibration was very obvious especially when I steered from left to right and it felt exactly like when I was driving on the street with the vibration when turning and it felt like it was rolling from one side to another depending on which side I steered to. I could hear clicking in the engine bay at the same time. Can this be a sign of a damaged bearing? Before the boot replacement I had no problems whatsoever. I think when I tried to take the rotor off with the hub puller I might have pushed the axle in too far resulting in the symptoms I am experiencing. What can this be? Damaged transmission or drive-shaft bearing? fwiw, the transmission shifts fine and there is no fluctuations in the RPM, steering is straight, everything is fine except for this odd vibration. Please help, all input would be greatly appreciated.

On the face of it, I don't think you could push an axle in hard enough to damage a transmission.
If the noise gets worst when you turn away from the side you worked on (while driving), it's most likely the hub bearing.
What I would suggest;
Jack the car up suspending the wheels in the air.
Support the car with jack stands
Start the car and put it into first
Using either a long rod, screwdriver or length of heater hose as a stethescope, probe the hub bearing with the road wheel turning etc.
You should not hear any rumbling etc.

jack the corner of the car up and grab the wheel at 6 and 12 and try to wiggle it, it should not have any slpo if it does then you got a worn wheel bearing. you could also just have a bad axle. i never waste my time replacing boots on axles that are $60 and come with a lifetime warranty, much faster to just swap the axle.
