Coupe CD7 F22Z2 ECU problem
Hi.
So as in thread i have problem with my CD7 and F22Z2 which is swaped here.
For a long time i was trying to discover why ECU is blinking all time code 4. I got through a manual and did all the steps which leaded me to last and final step - change and check another ECU.
And there is a problem because i dont have such a possibility. I have manual transmission and as i checked there is ECU from automatic one (37820-P5S-G81)
What should i do ? Is there any possibility to check and repair ECU? (And convert it to manual one) or i have to find another one which is almost impossible ?

Shouldn't be all that hard to find a manual F22Z2 (F22B1) VTEC ECU on ebay.
Is that code 4 for the engine or the transmission? If your ECU is for an automatic and you have swapped it to manual transmission. This could very well be throwing a TCU error code and not an ECU error code.
Aside from the ECU blinking a code, are you having trouble starting or running the engine?

Re: Coupe CD7 F22Z2 ECU problem
Actually in Poland it's impossible to find, also i was trying to search for it on ebay and i cant find it (manual ecu for F22Z2 is 37820-P5S-G31).
Im almost sure that it's CODE 4 for ECU which lead to CKP Sensor, but as i checked all steps in manual everything seems fine, OHM values are correct, there is correct connection between ecu and ignition. BUT engine is not reving above 3,5K RPM. I thought that it could be something wrong with VTEC valve at the beginning, but for example i checked oil level and it's good.

Re: Coupe CD7 F22Z2 ECU problem
You should be able to get away with using a USDM F22B1 P0A ECU. You don't need that exact Honda part number. there are different ECU part numbers that will work with your F22Z.
37820-P0A-A01 is an OBDI 2.2L SOHC VTEC 5 spd ECU.
What are your emissions laws there in Poland? Do you have to have a European ECU? Does your engine have EGR, EVAP and all the emissions crap that we have here? If it does than you should be able to use a US/Canadian F22b1 P0A ECU without any issues.
Now if your engine is OBDII, I just so happen to have a 5spd P0A VTEC ECU here that I am no longer using.

Re: Coupe CD7 F22Z2 ECU problem
Do you know any other ECU's than that one which could fit to my F22Z2 ?
Well, yes i have all that emission things in my engine. In Poland its something like this: if you cover your EGR valve etc, but your car is not producing so much fumes then there is no problem with that. Of course if Your car is shooting with black fumes etc it could be a problem ;D

What year/OBD is your chassis? I or II
We do JDM engine swaps all the time over here using US/Canadian ECU's without any issues. As long as the ECU has provisions for the equipment that your engine has, it should have no problems running it. Providing the wiring at the ECU is the same.
