00 honda accord misfire help!!!!!
So Accord broke down about 4 months ago with misfire and low compression in cylinder 4 so just today I decided to put in spark plugs and try that before swapping engines so
after I put spark plugs in check engine light came on and the codes were
P0304 misfire in cylinder 4
P0302 Misfire in cylinder 2
P0300 Random misfire
P1399 Random/Multiple cylinder misfire
what would cause this guy at o'reillys said plug wires and if that doesn't work ignition pack help me please thanks

Re: 00 honda accord misfire help!!!!!
You're not going to have any luck trying to tune an engine that is fundamentally exhausted.
Without compression all the tune ups and spark plugs in the world wont make a bit of difference.
Why did you even bother changing them if you knew the engine was compromised.
That being said I would confirm your gap is set correctly, it should be around .040 and you have the correct ngk plugs in there.
I would also suggest a compression test to see if the pressures on other cylinders have fallen off as well.

Like the other guy said, the low compression itself is your main problem. It doesn't matter if the plugs were worn out, fixing or replacing the engine is the only solution.
