P0303 Error Code
Hi all,
I've just bought a 1999 Honda Accord Lx with the V-tech 4 cylinder engine. I bought it knowing a check engine light was on but the car ran fine and the guy didn't seem shady. Got it for a good deal at that. Anyway, i went down to auto-zone and had them run the error codes and i got a P0303 cylinder 3 misfire. So i checked to make sure cylinder 3 had spark first of all, it did. Then i pulled the plug and it was black and corroded on the tip. Replaced the plugs and still the same error. Checked the injector's connection on that cylinder with a voltemeter and it read 2.2v. So i replaced the injector after that. Car ran better but still throwing the code and motor still shaking at idle. I have pulled the plug wire and the connection to the injector while it was running and the motor still ran the same. Does anyone here have any ideas on what else to check or what's commonly the problem? I've read some threads saying the EGR might be clogged but i don't want to dig that deep until i really have to. It's not my only vehicle at the moment, but i'd sure like it to be! Thanks for taking the time to read this and possibly give me some advice!
