options for a blown head gasket
So i blew out my head gasket doing 110, thats the second time this year that the head gasket has blown out. Im thinking about going one of two routes, the first one being get the motor blueprinted and possibly supercharging it. The second one being buy a new engine and put it in. Now either route that i go i want to use the stock motor i need the car to be reliable.
Now heres my questions,
About how much would it cost to get it blueprinted?
Does any one make a super for this car?

it would help to know what car you're referring to here. however, easy answer since you're in the accord forum, there are no superchargers for accords, short of the V6 6th gen. (maybe 7th gen also?)

d'oh 91 accord LX, so no super oh well. I came up with a good solution to forgetting to post my car, see my sig

well stop doing 110mph and you wont blow headgaskets. why dont you have the head surface of the head and block decked to make sure its flat and replace your headgasket

I wanted to do the supercharger so i could get more preformance for every day driving with out waiting for the turbo to spool.
We were late getting to the skydiving place and i was in a hurry!
I would like to have the entire engine done its got over 144000 miles on it. The guy i bought it from had to drive it from Iowa back with it overheating so he could fix the head so im worried about dammage.

Using a smaller turbo actually spins up faster (same flow thru a smaller turbine). If you ask some of the Turbo Guru's in here, I bet they'd be all over themselves with recommendations.
On the second Blow-out.... Did you check the head for warps and did you reuse the original head bolts?
In the correct terminology, you are supercharging it: Turbo-Supercharging. There's only one manufacturer I've seen advertising Belt driven Superchargers for 4 cyl, -No Accords yet

1) How you sure it's the headgasket that's blown? What tests did you run?
2) Seems like your car has a bad history with overheating. Was the head resurfaced properly when the new headgasket was installed because of overheating? Did the head itself have a leak of some kind in it or was it even checked out?
3) Was the block deck surface checked for straightness as well?
My theory is that when your car was originally overheated, things were not properly done to ensure head & block straightness and therefore it don't matter if you have a new headgasket installed, you'll have problems. Also, Honda OEM headgaskets are good quality...whose to say it's the headgasket and not a problem with the head itself.
I'm currently working on a 94 Accord DX (F22b2 engine) that was overheated and traced thru various testing a coolant leak over an exhaust valve in cyl # 1, the headgasket was totally fine (as much as we wanted to pin-point it to that).
I would have never bought the car, knowing it was overheated. Too many issues to consider and headaches. Shows poor attitude toward preventative maintenance, so you will probably have other areas of the car not properly taken care of as well.
