Oil in exhaust manifold
Engine about 1000 miles on rebuilt head. New valve seals, o-rings, guides and grind valves. Recently smoked at the tail pipe. After investigating, I noticed oil seeping out between the manifold joint and downpipe flange in front and behind the radiator.
Compression is 175 psi across 4 cylinders.
I noticed that I overfilled when I topped it up due to a valve cover gasket oil leak. Valve cover gasket was replaced. Oil was about 1/8" over the max oil level in dipstick. Any idea where the oil in the exhaust could be coming from? Could overfilling caused it? Thanks for any replies.

Re: Oil in exhaust manifold (AccordEX1991)
I find it amazing that you're claiming oil is leaking at the joint between the exhaust manifold / down pipe. It is without question the hottest spot under the hood (about 1500 f degrees) and oil would not survive as a liquid anywhere near that area and I'm pretty sure IF it's there, it's from an exterior leak, not from the interior.
In addition, oil of that quantity would develope massive quantities of gray smoke out the back, if it were being burned inside the engine.

I can't believe it either. I saw the oil dripping before I started the car in the morning. It smoked like crazy during start up and then dessipated when warmed up. If I can only post some pics so I can describe it better.
I will take some pics tomorrow and post them.
Thanks for the response though.
