Default 6000k HID Xentec ballasts light bulb

I just recently received a hid bulb from xentec and installed it on...when i turn the light on during nighttime...it wasnt bright as it used to be and it just the same as all regular halogen bulbs...there is no adjustment whatsoever so it like kinda cheap when i bought it off ebay at 28.99...once i drove for a while and back home...cooling down the car for 30 minutes and about to head back out on the road...the battery was dead due to loss of power after installed the hid bulbs...it was never dead b4 i installed it....im pretty sure i have it installed correctly and plus how do i make it brighter??!!...is relay and short circuit of wire is the problem?

Ebay 'HID' kits are usually junk. Neighborhood kids buy them all day, sure when they work they are bright, but they tend not to work.
Most likely the ballasts they sent you are bad. Recheck your wiring. Verify the ballast is getting full voltage.

I actually used to use these kits. They're amazing when you get a set that work. They do not like aftermarket headlights but work well in stock cases. The HIDS should be using less energy then the halogens. I had to change the fuse size in order to use them correctly which is odd but actually made them work. They're finicky when you dont know how to set them up or if your system has any issues to begin with. I would guess the hids didnt discharge your battery. Ive also had some of those xentec kits that didnt work very well, eventually I stopped using them all together but you can certainly get a good kit. I had one set on another car that have been going strong through a few years and a few accidents

I tried LED in the driving lamps on a Jeep. They did not project nearly as much light as normal halogen bulbs.

Drop-in LEDs will have horrible focus, bad visibility, and lots of glare. There's really no way around it.

The LED is a different shape than the halogen filament. The housing, which was designed for a halogen bulb, will not focus the LED properly - Even IF the LED puts out the same number of lumens.
